Most flights across the UAE are operating normally on August 13, although selected services to Bahrain and Kuwait have faced cancellations, delays or schedule changes.
Etihad Airways has cancelled some flights between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, while Emirates has reported limited disruptions affecting services to Bahrain, Kuwait and Algiers. Air Arabia has also cancelled or delayed several flights connecting Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with Bahrain and Kuwait.
flydubai, meanwhile, said its services to Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are operating as scheduled. However, passengers have still been advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport as operational conditions may change at short notice.
India-Bound Travellers Advised to Arrive Early
Passengers travelling from the UAE to India are being advised to allow extra time at airports ahead of India’s Independence Day on August 15.
Enhanced security measures are in place at several major Indian airports, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. These additional checks may result in longer waiting times for check-in, security screening and immigration procedures.
Airlines have advised passengers to reach airports earlier than usual, keep travel documents ready and complete online check-in wherever possible.
Travellers Should Monitor Flight Status
With some regional routes still facing disruptions, passengers are encouraged to regularly check airline websites and mobile apps for the latest updates.
Travellers should also make sure their contact details are updated with the airline so they can receive alerts about delays, cancellations or other changes.
Regional tensions continue to affect parts of the aviation network, particularly some Gulf routes. While overall UAE flight operations remain largely stable, travellers should remain prepared for possible last-minute schedule changes and plan their airport journey accordingly.
