L’Oréal Middle East and BinSina Pharmacy are strengthening their collaboration to make sustainable beauty products more accessible to consumers across the United Arab Emirates. The partnership focuses on expanding refillable beauty products, reducing packaging waste and encouraging more responsible consumption through everyday retail experiences.

The collaboration forms part of L’Oréal's wider sustainability strategy and supports the UAE's ambitions to develop a circular economy and reduce environmental impact.

Refillable Beauty Products Take Centre Stage

A major focus of the partnership is expanding the availability of refillable products across BinSina Pharmacy stores. Through this initiative, customers will have more opportunities to purchase beauty products with refill options, helping reduce dependence on single-use packaging.

The offering covers several beauty categories, including skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrances. Products from brands such as Kiehl’s, Prada, YSL Beauty, La Roche-Posay, CeraVe and Kérastase are part of L’Oréal's broader refillable beauty portfolio.

The initiative aims to make environmentally conscious purchasing more convenient by bringing refill options into pharmacy locations that consumers already visit.

Reducing Waste Through Retail Improvements

Beyond refillable packaging, both companies are working to minimise product waste through improved forecasting and dedicated in-store programmes.

The partnership also includes a target to ensure that 85% of point-of-sale materials used in the programme are eco-designed by 2027. These measures are intended to reduce unnecessary materials and encourage more sustainable retail operations.

Another important element is employee education. Joint training programmes will help BinSina's beauty advisors explain the benefits of refillable products and guide customers towards more environmentally responsible choices.

Connecting Sustainability With Community Engagement

The collaboration also includes social responsibility initiatives through L’Oréal's La Roche-Posay brand and its “Fight with Care” programme.

The initiative aims to raise awareness around important health and social causes while promoting inclusive approaches to beauty. Joint community activities will encourage customers to consider the relationship between personal well-being, responsible consumption and environmental protection.

Both companies see community engagement as an important part of making sustainability more meaningful in everyday life.

Supporting the UAE's Circular Economy Ambitions

The partnership aligns with the UAE's broader sustainability agenda, which places increasing emphasis on reducing waste, encouraging responsible consumption and supporting circular business models.

L’Oréal Middle East has also highlighted the collaboration as part of its efforts to expand refillable beauty solutions through retail partnerships. At its June 2026 L’Oréal For the Future Summit in Dubai, the company confirmed that additional retail alliances were planned to extend access to sustainable beauty products.

As consumers become more conscious of packaging and environmental impact, partnerships between beauty manufacturers and pharmacy retailers could help make sustainable alternatives easier to find and use.

For L’Oréal and BinSina Pharmacy, the goal is to move refillable beauty beyond a niche option and make it a more practical part of everyday shopping.
