Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert for parts of the UAE, forecasting light rainfall and dusty conditions in the coming days.

On Sunday, March 9light rain showers were reported over Shuweihat Island, Al Ruwais, and several areas in Al Dhafra region. In addition, strong north-easterly winds caused blowing dust and sand, reducing visibility to less than 2,000 meters in some internal areas.

The dust alert, issued by the Met Office, remains in effect until 6 PM on Sunday.

Weather Outlook for the Week

The NCM predicts that light rainfall will continue in parts of the country until Thursday, March 13, along with a gradual drop in temperatures starting Wednesday, March 12.

In addition, light to moderate winds are expected, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, which may lead to blowing dust in certain areas.

Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather reports and take necessary precautions while traveling in affected areas.
