Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday visited the seventh edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) 2026, currently being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The two exhibitions are organised by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council, bringing together leading global and regional players across defence, technology, and innovation sectors.
During the tour, the UAE President visited several national and international company pavilions, where he was briefed on the latest advancements in unmanned systems, training and simulation technologies, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, smart control systems, artificial intelligence, and other future-focused innovations.
Sheikh Mohamed engaged with participating entities to gain insight into the solutions and technologies being developed for civil, commercial, and defence applications. He highlighted the significance of UMEX and SimTEX as international platforms that support dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration in emerging technology fields, while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation and advanced technologies.
The President was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; along with several senior officials.
UMEX and SimTEX 2026 continue to serve as key platforms for showcasing cutting-edge defence and simulation technologies, attracting government stakeholders, industry leaders, and technology innovators from around the world.
