Dubai — UAE airlines have issued updated travel advisories as flight operations gradually resume under limited schedules due to ongoing regional airspace restrictions. Carriers including Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, and Air Arabia confirmed that selected services are operating while urging passengers to verify flight details and remain cautious about online ticket scams.

Airlines advised travellers to check their flight status through official websites and mobile applications before heading to the airport. Authorities also warned passengers not to share booking references, personal details, or payment information online, as fraudulent messages and fake refund offers have been reported.

The latest guidance comes as aviation operations across the region continue to adjust to airspace limitations and operational disruptions.

UAE Allows Return of Expats With Expired Visas

In a related travel development, UAE authorities have temporarily allowed expatriates abroad with expired residency visas to return to the country without requiring a new entry permit.

The temporary measure is valid from February 28 to March 31, 2026, and aims to assist residents who were unable to return to the UAE due to exceptional travel disruptions.

Officials said the move is designed to support affected residents during the ongoing regional travel situation.

Emirates Operating Reduced Network

Dubai-based airline Emirates confirmed that it is operating a reduced flight schedule as regional airspace restrictions continue.

Passengers transiting through Dubai International Airport (DXB) will only be accepted if their onward connecting flight has been confirmed. The airline advised travellers to verify bookings before arriving at the airport to avoid delays or travel disruptions.

Despite the operational adjustments, Emirates continues to operate flights to several international destinations.

Etihad Airways Updates Schedule Until March 15

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has released an updated operating schedule valid until March 15, 2026.

Passengers with existing bookings will be accommodated on available flights, while tickets for operating services remain available through the airline’s official website.

Rebooking and Refund Policy

Passengers holding tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, for travel up to March 21, 2026, can rebook flights free of charge for travel up to May 15, 2026.

Refunds for affected flights can be requested online or through travel agents.

Fraud Warning

Etihad also warned customers about fake social media accounts impersonating the airline and offering fraudulent refund services.

The airline stated that it will never request passwords, one-time passcodes, or payment details through social media platforms.

flydubai Operating Limited Flights

Low-cost carrier flydubai confirmed that it continues to operate a reduced flight schedule across parts of its network.

Passengers booked for travel between February 28 and March 31 may rebook flights to the same destination within 30 days of the original travel date without penalty.

Transit passengers will only be accepted if their onward flight from Dubai is confirmed and operational.

Passengers are advised to manage bookings through the airline’s website, mobile application, contact centre, or travel agents.

Air Arabia Operating Selected Services

Air Arabia said it is operating limited services from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah to several international destinations until March 22.

  • Full refund

Bookings and refunds can be managed through the airline’s website, mobile application, or travel agents.

Passenger Advisory

UAE airlines have issued the following guidance for travellers:

  • Verify flight schedules through official airline channels

  • Check email notifications for updates

  • Do not share booking references or payment details online

  • Avoid responding to suspicious refund offers on social media

Passengers travelling through UAE airports are advised to confirm their flight status before leaving for the airport and follow airline instructions regarding rebooking or refunds.

Airlines reiterated that passenger and crew safety remains the highest priority while operations continue under evolving regional conditions.
