Seven leading South Korean healthcare technology companies are set to showcase their latest AI-powered medical solutions in Abu Dhabi on October 22, as Korea and the UAE deepen cooperation in digital health and medical innovation.
The event, “Medical Korea 2026 in the UAE: Digital Health AI,” will be held at ADNEC Capital Suite 3 alongside the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit. It is being jointly organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the UAE and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, with the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) UAE leading the programme.
Seven Companies Bring AI Solutions to Abu Dhabi
The participating companies cover a broad range of healthcare applications, from cardiac monitoring and cancer screening to chronic disease management and clinical documentation.
ARPI Inc. will present AI-based 12-lead ECG analysis and cardiovascular risk assessment technology. Kakao Healthcare will showcase personalised solutions for glucose, diabetes and metabolic health management.
Cancer screening will be represented by Lunit, whose medical-imaging AI is designed to support the early detection of diseases including lung and breast cancer. Waycen will demonstrate AI technology that can detect abnormalities in real time during gastrointestinal endoscopy.
AI Targets Patient Monitoring and Hospital Workflows
Other participating companies are focused on improving hospital operations and patient monitoring.
SEERS will showcase wearable-based technology for continuous patient monitoring, while VUNO will present AI-based systems designed to predict the risk of cardiac arrest in hospitals.
Puzzle AI is bringing AI-powered clinical documentation tools that use medical-specific large language models and speech recognition to automate parts of the documentation process.
Together, the seven companies illustrate how AI is moving beyond general-purpose software and into specific clinical tasks where early detection, continuous monitoring and faster documentation can have a direct impact on healthcare delivery.
Abu Dhabi Positions Itself as a HealthTech Testing Ground
The event comes as Abu Dhabi seeks to strengthen its position as a hub for healthcare innovation and real-world testing of emerging technologies.
The emirate's Department of Health has promoted Abu Dhabi as a “living lab” for next-generation healthcare solutions, giving technology companies opportunities to test and scale AI-powered systems within an established healthcare environment.
That focus could make the UAE an important market for Korean medical technology companies looking to expand internationally.
One-to-One Meetings With UAE Healthcare Organisations
The programme will also include one-to-one business meetings between the Korean companies and potential UAE partners.
According to KHIDI, the afternoon session will feature company presentations followed by business-matching meetings from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., allowing healthcare organisations to discuss potential technology partnerships and deployment opportunities directly with the participating firms.
The format is aimed at moving beyond demonstrations and toward practical commercial and healthcare collaborations.
Korean Medical AI Already Has a UAE Presence
Some of the technologies being presented already have links to the UAE healthcare market.
KHIDI says Lunit's AI mammography solution is deployed across the SEHA network, covering 14 hospitals and more than 70 clinics. SEERS has also been expanding its wearable and remote-monitoring technologies, while several of the participating companies have established deployments in hospitals in South Korea and other international markets.
These existing deployments could give UAE healthcare providers a clearer view of how the technologies perform in real clinical settings.
Strengthening Korea-UAE Digital Health Cooperation
For South Korean companies, Abu Dhabi offers access to one of the region's fastest-growing healthcare and technology ecosystems. For the UAE, the event provides an opportunity to connect hospitals, healthcare providers and technology leaders with specialised AI developers from Korea.
As healthcare systems increasingly adopt artificial intelligence for diagnosis, monitoring, prevention and administrative work, partnerships such as this could help accelerate the practical use of AI in hospitals.
The October 22 event is therefore expected to serve not only as a showcase of Korean medical technology, but also as a platform for building longer-term Korea-UAE partnerships in digital health and AI-powered healthcare.
