Gulf Air has restored 75% of its global flight operations and is aiming to resume full network capacity by June 1, 2026, as the Bahraini airline accelerates its recovery and expands services across key international destinations.
The carrier confirmed that flights have resumed across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent, reconnecting passengers through Bahrain as travel operations steadily normalize.
According to the airline, services are currently active across 40 destinations in 24 countries, representing approximately three-quarters of its overall network. Gulf Air added that additional frequencies and routes are being reinstated gradually as part of its phased recovery strategy.
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air, said the airline continues to focus on operational stability while ensuring smooth passenger connectivity through Bahrain.
“With 75% of our network now restored and more routes returning each day, Gulf Air is on its way to restoring full operations,” Gauss stated.
The airline emphasized that maintaining service reliability and customer experience remains a priority during the expansion phase.
To support travelers affected by recent disruptions, Gulf Air announced that passengers holding confirmed bookings until June 30, 2026, will be eligible for one complimentary date change. Rebooking options will remain available until March 31, 2027.
In addition, the airline extended expiration deadlines for FalconFlyer loyalty programme miles, points, and membership tiers that were originally due to expire during March, April, and May 2026. These benefits will now remain valid until June 30, 2026.
The recovery update comes as regional carriers continue restoring international schedules amid improving operational conditions and stabilizing travel demand across global aviation markets.
