In Qatar, she has been actively involved in hospital and laboratory quality, safety, risk, and accreditation management, contributing to organizations such as Hamad Medical Corporation, The View Hospital, and Korean Medical Center. Her responsibilities include leading accreditation initiatives, overseeing compliance systems, managing incidents and variance systems, coordinating patient complaint investigations, and driving corrective and preventive actions to maintain operational excellence.
At The View Hospital, she has played an important role in spearheading CAP and JCI accreditation activities for hospitals and laboratories, while also contributing to committee leadership across quality improvement, laboratory safety, radiation safety, infection control, facility safety, blood transfusion, and point-of-care testing. Her role demonstrates not only technical expertise but also an ability to lead multidisciplinary systems that are essential to high-performing healthcare environments.
Before these positions, Dr. Aarathy spent nearly a decade with Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, where she served as a Corporate Laboratory Quality Officer in laboratory quality management. During this tenure, she led CAP accreditation activities for 32 laboratories, managed complaints and variance systems, supported committee participation, compiled quality statistics, and contributed to workflow improvement and system implementation initiatives. Her earlier experience also includes roles as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Abu Dhabi, Microbiologist and Laboratory In-Charge in Kerala, Office Administrator, and Guest Lecturer, each of which contributed to the strong multidisciplinary perspective she brings to her work today.

Among her notable accomplishments, she led CAP preparation for The View Hospital Laboratory and supported the achievement of initial accreditation. She also facilitated JCI preparation and accreditation for The View Hospital, with leadership in important chapters such as assessment of patients and facility management and safety. In another significant milestone, she led CAP preparation for Dukhan Hospital Microbiology and Serology Laboratory, helping it achieve first accreditation with zero deficiencies. Her work has also included improving laboratory turnaround time issues, addressing critical value relaying concerns, and initiating quality improvement projects to reduce pre-analytical specimen collection errors. These achievements reflect her ability to combine governance, quality systems, and practical implementation in ways that create measurable impact.
