The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has clarified developments related to the Air Services Agreement with Algeria, confirming that flights between the two countries will continue to operate normally during the legally mandated notice period.
The clarification follows a notification from the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria regarding the cessation of the bilateral Air Services Agreement. The GCAA said the move falls within established international agreement mechanisms and does not result in any immediate impact on air traffic operations.
In a statement, the authority stressed that the agreement remains in force throughout the legal notice period, ensuring uninterrupted flight operations between the UAE and Algeria.
The GCAA also confirmed that it is maintaining coordination with all relevant entities through official channels and is addressing the matter in line with applicable legal and diplomatic frameworks, emphasizing a responsible and professional approach.
