Etihad Airways has released a limited flight schedule from Abu Dhabi for March 16, advising passengers to travel only if they hold confirmed bookings or have been contacted directly by the airline.
The UAE’s national carrier said the adjusted schedule will allow passengers with existing reservations to travel while ensuring that all flights meet necessary safety and operational requirements.
According to Etihad Airways, travellers should avoid going to the airport unless they have a confirmed ticket. The airline emphasized that flights will depart only after completing all safety and security checks.
Passengers with confirmed bookings will be accommodated as soon as possible, the airline said, adding that tickets for available flights can be purchased through its official website.
Passenger Advisory
Etihad Airways has urged passengers to check the latest flight status on its website before heading to the airport. Travellers are also advised to ensure that their contact details in the booking system are updated to receive important notifications regarding their flights.
To provide flexibility for affected travellers, the airline announced that tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with travel dates scheduled up to March 21, can be rebooked free of charge. Passengers can change their travel to any Etihad-operated flight until May 15, 2026.
Refunds for flights scheduled until March 21 are also available. Passengers can submit refund requests through the airline’s website or contact their travel agent for assistance.
Key Destinations in the Schedule
The limited schedule includes flights from Abu Dhabi to several major international destinations. Cities expected to be served during the operational period include Ahmedabad, Amsterdam, Athens, Bangkok, Beijing, Bengaluru, Boston, Cairo, Delhi, Dubai, Jeddah, Karachi, London Heathrow, Manila, Melbourne, Mumbai, New York (JFK), Paris, Riyadh, Sydney, and Tokyo.
However, Etihad Airways noted that all services remain subject to operational approvals and may be adjusted depending on airspace conditions.
Safety Remains the Priority
The airline reiterated that passenger safety remains its top priority and that flights will operate only after all safety criteria have been fully met.
Etihad Airways also advised travellers to regularly check its website for the latest schedule updates as flight operations may change depending on operational conditions.
