Qatar Airways announced that it will operate 29 flights to and from Doha on March 12, following temporary approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to use designated operating corridors.
The limited flight schedule has been introduced to assist passengers affected by recent regional disruptions across the Gulf. The airline confirmed that the temporary operating corridors will allow select services to continue for a short period while broader flight operations remain restricted.
Among the scheduled departures are long-haul international flights connecting Doha with major global cities, including London, New York, and Madrid. The airline stated that these flights are part of a controlled and limited operation designed to maintain essential connectivity for passengers during the current regional situation.
In a statement shared on social media late Tuesday, the airline explained that the temporary authorisation would enable the airline to support travellers whose plans have been affected by recent developments in the region.
However, Qatar Airways clarified that the flights scheduled for March 12 do not represent a full resumption of regular flight operations. Passengers have been advised not to travel to the airport unless they hold a confirmed ticket for a specific flight.
To assist affected travellers, the airline has introduced flexible options for passengers whose bookings fall between February 28 and March 22. Eligible travellers may change their travel dates twice without additional fees, provided the new travel date falls within 14 days of the original booking. Passengers also have the option to request refunds for unused tickets.
The airline encouraged travellers to check updates through the Qatar Airways website, mobile application, or their travel agents to receive the latest flight information.
Qatar Airways also emphasised that the safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew remain its top priority as it navigates the ongoing regional situation. The airline thanked customers for their patience and understanding while operations continue under temporary arrangements.
Further updates regarding flight schedules for March 13 and beyond are expected as aviation authorities monitor the situation and adjust operating permissions accordingly.
