BurJuman Mall, one of Dubai’s most iconic shopping destinations, is set to roll out a ticketless paid parking system, marking a major step toward smart urban mobility. The new automated system, powered by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, will streamline parking by eliminating the need for physical tickets and reducing wait times.

This digital transformation aligns with Dubai’s smart city initiative, following similar implementations at Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, and Dubai Mall over the past year.

How the New Parking System Works

Seamless Entry and Exit

  • The new system eliminates manual ticketing, ensuring a faster, hassle-free experience for visitors.

  • ANPR cameras will automatically detect and register vehicle license plates, allowing motorists to enter without stopping.
  • Parking barriers will remain in place but will automatically lift to allow smooth entry and exit.

Enhanced Smart Parking Features

  • BurJuman Mall will introduce a ‘Find My Car’ service, helping visitors locate their parked vehicles with ease.

  • Additional navigation upgrades will be implemented to improve overall parking accessibility.

Parking Fees and Regulations

No Increase in Parking Charges

  • First three hours remain free for all visitors.

  • Each additional hour or part thereof will be charged at Dh20.
  • Free parking will continue on Sundays and public holidays.
  • Moviegoers will receive three extra hours of free parking.
  • Overnight parking is prohibited, with violating vehicles subject to a Dh250 daily penalty.

BurJuman Mall: A Legacy in Dubai’s Retail Landscape

  • Established in 1991, BurJuman Mall is owned by the Saif Al Ghurair Real Estate Group.

  • The 286,417 square-meter shopping complex hosts over 100 global and local brands, alongside a cinema, a hypermarket, and a family entertainment center.
  • BurJuman Metro Station, strategically connected to the mall, remains Dubai’s busiest metro hub, recording 7.8 million passengers in the first half of last year.

The introduction of a ticketless paid parking system at BurJuman Mall marks a significant step toward digital transformation and customer convenience. With automated access, consistent parking fees, and smart enhancements, the initiative aims to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and offer a seamless experience for visitors.

As Dubai’s shopping malls continue adopting smart solutions, this move underscores the city’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and modern urban infrastructure.
