Emirati farmer Mohammed Obaid Al Mazrouei has turned his passion for flowers into a flourishing farm, showcasing over 50,000 flowers from 25 imported varieties. Located in the Aisima area of Ras Al Khaimah, the farm has become a popular attraction for visitors since opening to the public in 2020.

A Dream Turned Reality

Al Mazrouei’s love for flowers began over a decade ago while he was still in high school. Inspired by European flower farms, he started researching and experimenting with different varieties. Over the years, he imported flower seeds from countries like the U.S., the Netherlands, the UK, Russia, and Italy.

Despite initial skepticism about growing such flowers in the UAE’s climate, his dedication paid off. Today, his farm features stunning blooms, including Snapdragons, Salvia, Stock, and Mexican Sunflowers.

Introducing Unique Flower Varieties

This season, Al Mazrouei introduced rare Swiss flower varieties, further expanding the farm’s diverse collection. One of his greatest successes has been lavender, which survived the intense summer heat and is now blooming for the second season.

His long-term goal is to produce lavender oil locally, a highly sought-after product used in perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics.

A Must-Visit Destination

The farm welcomes visitors daily from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, except Fridays, when it opens after Friday prayers.

  • Admission: Dh15 per person
  • Free entry: Children under three, individuals with disabilities, and school students

Beyond flowers, the farm offers additional attractions, including horse rides for children, peacocks, various bird species, and a cozy café.

Expanding Beyond the UAE

Al Mazrouei’s success has led him to expand internationally. Soon, he will establish a farm in Bosnia, where he plans to cultivate 10,000 lavender plants under the UAE’s name.

Recognition and Support

His efforts have gained recognition from Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and local government authorities, who have supported his initiative by waiving farm permit fees.

With visitors returning year after year, Al Mazrouei’s farm has become a breathtaking escape, offering a vibrant and peaceful retreat in the UAE’s natural landscape.
