Indian airlines are preparing to operate around 50 inbound flights from West Asia to India on March 9, with UAE airports handling most of the operations. The move comes as airlines adjust schedules to keep travel running smoothly while prioritizing passenger safety.
India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation said it is closely watching the situation in West Asia, which has recently affected flight schedules between India and several Gulf countries. Airlines are working with authorities to ensure passengers can travel without major disruptions.
Flights from UAE and Gulf Hubs
Recent aviation data shows that 51 flights arrived in India from West Asia on March 7, bringing about 8,175 passengers. These flights were part of ongoing efforts to maintain air connectivity between India and the Gulf region.
On March 8, Indian airlines scheduled 49 inbound flights from several regional airports. Most of these flights departed from UAE airports such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.
Other important departure points included Muscat in Oman and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, which also serve as major travel hubs for passengers flying to India.
The airlines operating these services include Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air.
Flight Plan for March 9
For March 9, airlines are planning around 50 inbound flights from West Asia to India. UAE airports are expected to manage a large portion of these flights because of their strong connectivity with major Indian cities.
Airlines are also monitoring conditions at other airports in the region. Depending on the situation, additional flights may be scheduled if necessary.
Government Monitoring the Situation
The Ministry of Civil Aviation said it is coordinating closely with airlines and airport authorities to manage operations smoothly. Officials are also keeping a watch on ticket prices to prevent any sudden increase in airfares during this period.
Ensuring passenger safety and maintaining stable flight operations remain the main priorities for both airlines and aviation authorities.
Advice for Passengers
Passengers traveling between India and West Asia are advised to check with their airlines for the latest flight updates. Since schedules may change depending on operational conditions, travelers should stay informed before heading to the airport.
Airlines have assured passengers that they are making every effort to maintain reliable travel services during this period.
