Abu Dhabi — Etihad Airways has officially inaugurated the commercial debut of its new Airbus A321LR, operating its first flight from Zayed International Airport to Phuket. The landmark journey on Friday signals a new era for luxury travel on narrowbody aircraft.

Flight EY414, the first of its kind using the A321LR, was fully booked across First, Business, and Economy cabins. Designed to mirror Etihad’s award-winning widebody service, the aircraft introduces premium features on short and medium-haul routes.

“The A321LR symbolises our ambition to deliver extraordinary experiences on every route,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways. “It brings our widebody sophistication to even more destinations and travellers.”
