Dubai-based Bangladeshi expat Jahangir Alom has struck it big, winning an astonishing Dh20 million in the latest Abu Dhabi Big Ticket draw held on Monday, March 3.

A Life-Changing Win

Jahangir, a 44-year-old shipbuilding industry worker, had purchased ticket number 134468 on February 11. Having lived in Dubai for six years while his family remains in Bangladesh, he has been participating in the Big Ticket draw for the past three years alongside 14 friends who pool their money each month to increase their chances of winning.

"I was deep in prayer when the call came in. When I stepped out, my friend broke the incredible news. Since then, I’ve been overwhelmed with joy. But what makes this win truly special is that it’s not just mine; it belongs to 14 others and their families too," Jahangir shared.

A Special Draw Moment

Adding to the excitement of the event, February's grand prize winner, Ashik Patinharath, made a surprise appearance to pick the latest winner. Exactly one month after his own victory, Ashik had the honor of announcing Jahangir as the Dh20-million winner, making the moment even more memorable.

Future Plans and Continued Participation

Jahangir has big plans for his share of the winnings. He aspires to start a small business in Dubai and involve his friends in the venture.

"I will definitely keep buying tickets. I hope my story inspires others to take a chance and be part of this incredible journey," he added.

Upcoming Big Ticket Prizes and Promotions

Big Ticket continues to offer life-changing prizes. In March, one lucky ticket holder will win a grand prize of Dh15 million. Additionally, the draw will distribute Dh50,000 each to 10 lucky winners during the live event on April 3, 2025.

For customers purchasing two or more cash tickets in a single transaction between March 1 and 25, there is an opportunity to participate in the Spin-the-Wheel game. Four winners will be selected to spin the wheel during the live draw on April 3, with guaranteed cash prizes ranging from Dh20,000 to Dh150,000. The names of the winners will be announced on April 1 on the Big Ticket website.

As an added bonus, this month’s promotion includes a luxury prize—a Range Rover Velar. The winner will be announced on May 3, 2025.

Where to Buy Tickets

Tickets for upcoming draws are available online at www.bigticket.ae or at Big Ticket counters in Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.

With life-changing prizes up for grabs, the Big Ticket draw continues to make dreams come true for lucky participants worldwide.
