The Middle East's rapidly expanding pet industry is set to welcome a premium new player as Zabeel Feed announces the launch of its ready-to-eat pet food brand, Zabeel Pets, during the upcoming Pet World Arabia 2025 exhibition in Dubai.

The event, scheduled for April 19–20 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, will see Zabeel Pets unveiled as a dedicated new business line of the renowned Zabeel Feed manufacturing facility. The parent company — a long-standing equine nutrition operation established in 1985 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai — is now diversifying to cater to the region’s growing demand for premium pet care.

“We’re excited to introduce Zabeel Pets, a forward-thinking brand focused on the well-being of pets through premium nutrition, smart appliances, and innovative accessories,” said Ali Abdulrahman Al Ali, CEO and Board Member of Zabeel Feed.

The announcement comes as industry analysts forecast a significant growth trajectory for the region’s pet care sector. According to research by IMARC Group, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) pet food market is expected to grow from $4.6 billion in 2024 to $7.3 billion by 2033, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.85%.

Pet Industry Booming Across MENA

The rise in pet adoption, increasing awareness around animal welfare, and the humanisation of pets — particularly among millennial consumers — are cited as major growth drivers in the MENA pet care space.

“The launch of Zabeel Pets reflects the evolving landscape of pet ownership in the region,” said Nadhal Mohamed, General Manager of Al Fajer Information and Services, organisers of Pet World Arabia. “There is a clear shift towards specialised nutrition, technology-integrated care, and premium products.”

More Than Just Food

Zabeel Pets promises to go beyond traditional pet food, offering a complete range of smart pet appliances and accessories designed to enhance pet health and happiness. Its entry signals the increasing sophistication of the regional pet care industry, catering to a customer base that treats pets as integral members of the family.

The Zabeel Feed facility, with a production capacity of 300 metric tons, will now support the distribution of products under the new Zabeel Pets line — aiming to serve dogs, cats, and other domestic animals with high-quality nutrition and care solutions.

Pet World Arabia 2025: A Global Gathering

Now in its third edition, Pet World Arabia 2025 is positioned as the Middle East’s most comprehensive B2B exhibition for the pet industry. This year’s show will feature over 160 exhibitors from 25 countries, showcasing more than 300 global and regional brands.

In addition to brand showcases, the event will include:

  • An expert pet grooming workshop and competition

  • veterinary ophthalmology seminar

  • Pet fashion shows to delight pet lovers and industry professionals

As the UAE positions itself as a hub for pet-related innovation and trade, industry insiders say Pet World Arabia continues to serve as a vital platform for launching new products, networking, and setting trends for the future.

Snapshot: The Region’s Pet Industry at a Glance

  • UAE pet care market expected to reach $2 billion by 2025

  • MENA pet food market projected to hit $7.3 billion by 2033

  • Growing millennial consumer base driving demand for premium products

  • Increase in pet humanisation fueling demand for smart and specialty care

Conclusion

As Dubai prepares to host thousands of visitors for Pet World Arabia, the debut of Zabeel Pets signals not just the entry of a new brand, but the evolution of a lifestyle. With quality, innovation, and pet well-being at its core, Zabeel Pets is expected to make a bold impression on the global pet care stage.
