Sharjah: Tenants and property owners in Sharjah have been urged to complete the attestation of expired rental contracts as the 50 per cent discount on late attestation fees concludes tomorrow, Wednesday, 31 December.
Sharjah Municipality confirmed that the discounted fee applies exclusively to rental contracts that expired before 19 September 2024, offering a limited-time opportunity for residents to regularise their documentation at reduced cost.
In an official statement, the municipality stressed that the initiative will not be extended beyond the announced deadline, encouraging eligible customers to take immediate action to avoid paying the full attestation fees once the offer expires.
The municipality further noted that rental contract attestation services are available through the Aqari platform on the Sharjah Digital application and website. Customers may also complete the process by visiting authorised customer service centres across the emirate.
Authorities reiterated that timely contract attestation is essential to ensure compliance with local regulations, protect tenant and landlord rights, and avoid future penalties or service disruptions.
