Dubai-based Emirates airline has dismissed claims that it terminated employees for sharing a behind-the-scenes video showcasing cabin crew activities during a flight.

The 30-minute video, titled "Behind The Scenes as Emirates Cabin Crew — Things You DON’T See as a Passenger," was filmed on a flight to Shanghai and uploaded on YouTube last year. The footage, which offers a glimpse into the daily responsibilities of the airline’s crew, has since gained 1.3 million views.

In response to speculation circulating on social media, Emirates confirmed that no employees had been dismissed over the video.

“Emirates is aware of the video mentioned and had investigated the matter at the time. We can confirm that no crew was dismissed as a result,” an Emirates spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday.

Social Media Misinformation

Rumors surfaced online suggesting that the airline had taken disciplinary action against staff members who appeared in the video. However, Emirates clarified that while the matter was reviewed internally, no dismissals took place.

Behind-the-scenes content featuring airline crew members has become increasingly popular on social media, with similar videos from other airlines also attracting millions of views.

Emirates Continues Workforce Expansion

Despite the false claims, Emirates Group has been expanding its workforce. The airline’s 2023-24 annual report revealed a 10% increase in staff numbers, bringing its total workforce to 112,406 employees—the highest in its history. The airline remains focused on global recruitment to support its expanding operations.

Emirates continues to uphold its policies and operational standards, maintaining its reputation as one of the world’s leading airlines.
