Emirates has named Bahrain as the first destination in its global network to be served exclusively by its new Airbus A350 aircraft. The announcement follows the arrival of Emirates’ third A350 at Bahrain International Airport on June 2, completing the aircraft's full deployment on all flights to the Kingdom.
The milestone marks a strategic move by the Dubai-based airline to enhance passenger experience on short-haul routes using its latest-generation aircraft. The A350, known for its advanced technology and fuel efficiency, currently serves several other destinations including Amman, Kuwait, Mumbai, Edinburgh, Colombo, Ahmedabad, and Tunis. Emirates aims to expand A350 operations to 17 cities by the end of 2025.
Third Daily A350 Flight Launches
The newly launched third daily service to Bahrain—EK835—departed from Dubai at 02:00 and landed in Bahrain at 02:15. The return leg, EK836, left Bahrain at 03:40 and reached Dubai at 06:05. Emirates stated that this deployment supports the airline’s “Fly Better” strategy, aimed at offering enhanced comfort, connectivity, and in-flight technology to passengers.
A350 Cabin Features
The Emirates A350 features a three-class configuration, including:
-
32 Business Class lie-flat seats
-
21 Premium Economy seats
-
259 Economy Class seats
Passengers onboard can enjoy upgraded amenities such as faster in-flight Wi-Fi, Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system, higher ceilings, quieter cabins, wider aisles, and mood-based lighting systems designed to reduce jet lag.
Strengthening Ties with Bahrain
The exclusive deployment of the A350 on Bahrain routes underlines Emirates’ commitment to the Bahraini market. The airline has long maintained a strong operational and commercial relationship with the Kingdom, and this development signals a renewed investment in delivering premium services to the region.
“This reflects our dedication to modernising our fleet and providing passengers with a world-class travel experience,” an Emirates spokesperson said.
