Motorists in Dubai will soon enjoy enhanced parking experiences with additional services, including car washing, mobile refuelling, engine oil changes, tyre checks, battery inspections, and other essential vehicle maintenance. This initiative follows a partnership agreement signed between Parkin PJSC, which operates public parking spaces in Dubai, and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) on Wednesday, during the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF).
A Seamless Experience for Drivers
While the exact parking locations offering these services have yet to be disclosed, Parkin has emphasized that these sites will provide drivers with unmatched convenience. Essential services will be accessible on-the-go, along with products from Zoom stores, to ensure a smoother and more efficient customer experience.
Additionally, the collaboration will feature an integration of both companies' mobile apps and digital wallets. This will allow users to book vehicle services through either platform, enjoy real-time updates, and securely pay within the app. This integration aims to streamline the customer journey with user-friendly features and an all-in-one solution.
Future Expansion Plans Beyond Dubai
In an interview with Khaleej Times, Parkin CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali outlined the company’s plans for expansion. "We are exploring opportunities to extend our services beyond Dubai, including discussions with a major Saudi conglomerate to introduce paid parking services in Saudi Arabia. This partnership will focus on leveraging digital technologies, including smart cameras, to enhance parking efficiency and reduce congestion," he said.
Changes in Parking Fees Starting March 2025
In a related development, Parkin announced that it will implement premium parking charges across Dubai starting March 2025. The new premium parking rate will be Dh6 per hour from 8 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM. This rate will apply to areas within 500 meters of metro stations and those experiencing high demand during peak hours. Other public paid parking spaces will have a fee of Dh4 per hour.
Additionally, parking rates will rise during major events, including conferences, exhibitions, festivals, and concerts, to effectively manage the increased demand.
