Luxury car rental prices in Dubai have climbed to as high as Dh7,500 per day, as a surge in international tourist arrivals pushes demand to record levels during the city’s peak winter travel season.

Dubai International Airport is expecting more than 8.7 million passengers in December, making it the busiest month in its history. Daily arrivals are crossing 300,000, driven by year-end holidays, major global events, and favorable weather conditions.

The city has already welcomed 15.7 million visitors in the first ten months of 2025, with the impact clearly visible across hotels, transport services, and premium mobility sectors. Luxury and sports car rentals, in particular, are seeing near-full occupancy during peak periods.

Demand this month is being led by premium and sports SUVs. The most requested models include the Land Rover Defender, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover Sport, BMW X5 and X6, and Mercedes GLE63, according to Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head at Yango Group Middle East.

In the ultra-luxury category, Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga vehicles are among the earliest to sell out during high-demand periods. The average rental duration for high-end models now ranges between four and 14 days, as visitors prefer to retain a single vehicle throughout their stay.

Booking trends this winter show a mix of advance planning and last-minute decisions. Around 80% of bookings are made four to five days in advance, while the remaining 20% are confirmed within 48 hours, with sports SUVs moving fastest due to limited inventory.

Short-term rentals and high-performance vehicles are also seeing a sharp rise in demand. Two-seaters, convertibles, and compact luxury SUVs continue to attract tourists and families alike. According to Soham Shah, CEO and Founder of SelfDrive Mobility, average bookings typically last five to seven days, with prices ranging from Dh3,500 to Dh4,500 per day for entry-luxury models and reaching Dh7,500 per day for performance cars.

Tourists from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe are driving much of the upscale rental demand this season. Rental firms report an increase in first-time luxury renters, alongside nearly 20% growth in repeat customers, supported by improved digital booking platforms and streamlined customer onboarding.

To rent a luxury vehicle in the UAE, visitors generally need a valid driving licence, a passport with an entry stamp, and must be at least 21 years old. Many providers now offer simplified verification processes, optional chauffeur services, and enhanced insurance coverage for premium vehicles.

As Dubai prepares for continued high passenger traffic and near-full hotel occupancy through the winter months, the luxury car rental market is reflecting the same momentum. The combination of peak tourism, global events, and affluent travelers is once again reshaping demand across the city’s mobility sector.
