Dubai's iconic Fountain, located in Downtown Dubai near the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, will undergo a five-month closure starting in May 2025 for a comprehensive renovation. Emaar Properties, the developer behind the landmark, announced on Wednesday that the fountain will be upgraded with improved choreography, lighting, and sound systems to enhance its world-renowned performances.
The Dubai Fountain is one of the UAE’s most popular tourist attractions, drawing millions of visitors annually to witness its mesmerizing water, music, and light shows. The renovation aims to elevate the experience even further, promising a more immersive and spectacular show upon its reopening.
Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, expressed excitement over the upgrade, stating, "Dubai Fountain is more than a spectacle — it is a reflection of Dubai’s soul, where art, innovation, and emotion come together in perfect harmony." He added that the renovation will ensure the fountain continues to be a lasting and awe-inspiring experience for both residents and visitors.
The fountain’s upgrade will commence in May 2025, and Emaar assured the public that the landmark will return bigger and better, further cementing its place as a symbol of Dubai’s cultural and artistic innovation.
