Dubai — Dubai International Airport (DXB) recorded 46 million passengers in the first six months of 2025, according to data released by Dubai Airports on Monday. The figure marks a 2.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
In the second quarter alone, the airport handled 22.5 million passengers, reflecting a 3.1% rise from Q2 2024. The strong performance came despite regional instability in June, including a rise in tensions across parts of the Middle East.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, praised the achievement. “DXB’s performance despite regional challenges embodies the confidence, stability, and connectivity that define Dubai’s position on the world stage,” he said in a statement.
Dubai International continues to lead as the world’s busiest international hub, connecting travelers across six continents. With over 240 destinations served by more than 90 international airlines, DXB remains central to global air traffic.
Aviation analysts say the numbers highlight Dubai’s resilience and its strong recovery following the pandemic. The growth is expected to continue into the second half of the year, supported by high summer travel demand and upcoming events in the emirate.
Dubai International has consistently ranked as one of the top-performing airports globally, driven by strategic investments, airline partnerships, and tourism growth.
