Cebu Pacific will resume flights between Dubai and Manila from July 2, restoring one of the busiest budget travel routes connecting the Gulf region and the Philippines after a months-long suspension caused by regional airspace disruptions.
The Philippine low-cost airline said it will initially operate four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The carrier suspended operations on the route in March following escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East that led to temporary airspace restrictions and operational disruptions across the region.
The suspension also came amid a sharp increase in jet fuel prices triggered by military tensions, significantly raising operating costs for airlines flying through Middle Eastern corridors. Industry estimates at the time showed fuel prices had surged to more than double their 2025 average levels.
During the disruption period, Cebu Pacific repeatedly extended the suspension while carrying out safety evaluations and coordinating with authorities at Dubai International Airport regarding revised operational and airspace requirements.
The Dubai-Manila route remains one of Cebu Pacific’s most important international services due to strong travel demand from overseas Filipino workers, tourists, and families traveling between the UAE and the Philippines.
The temporary suspension had also contributed to rising airfares on the route because of reduced seat availability and limited low-cost travel alternatives.
Industry observers expect ticket prices to gradually stabilize following the airline’s return to the sector, particularly during the peak summer travel period when passenger demand traditionally increases.
The resumption of services is also being viewed as a sign of improving operational stability in regional aviation after months of uncertainty linked to geopolitical developments in the Middle East.
