Dubai : Ahead of Ramadan 2025, Awqaf has introduced a first-of-its-kind digital platform designed to assist corporate companies in accurately calculating and paying their zakat. The Emirates Digital Program, launched under the campaign titled “My Zakat is a Blessing for My Business”, provides a fully automated service that streamlines the process for various commercial, industrial, and service-related businesses.

Automated Zakat Calculation

The platform ensures zakat calculations align with approved accounting and Sharia principles, incorporating company financial statements for precise assessments. The initiative is part of the UAE’s broader strategy to raise awareness about zakat and facilitate corporate compliance.

Key Features of the Emirates Digital Program

Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat (Awqaf), highlighted the initiative’s role in serving society while enhancing zakat management.

Available on the Zakat Fund Management website (www.zakatfund.ae) and the Zakat application, the digital platform offers multiple features, including:

  • Company Registration: Businesses can register more than one entity for zakat calculation.

  • Secure Digital Login: A user-friendly interface ensuring smooth accessibility.

  • Archival and Retrieval Features: Users can save, modify, and retrieve past zakat calculations with ease.

The new platform is expected to enhance transparency and efficiency in zakat management, allowing businesses across the UAE to fulfill their obligations seamlessly. As part of Awqaf’s ongoing efforts, this digital transformation marks a significant step in leveraging technology to support Islamic financial practices.
