Dubai Police has announced the locations for stationary and mobile Iftar cannons across the emirate, continuing a long-standing tradition that marks the end of daily fasting during Ramadan.

The booming cannon shots—fired twice on the eve of Ramadan, once daily throughout the month, and twice on Eid Al Fitr—serve as an official signal for Iftar, the evening meal when Muslims break their fast.

Fixed Iftar Cannon Locations in Dubai

Residents and visitors can witness the stationary Iftar cannons at these seven locations:

  • Expo City Dubai
  • Burj Khalifa
  • Festival City
  • Uptown
  • Madinat Jumeirah
  • DAMAC Hills
  • Hatta Guest House

New Roaming Iftar Cannons

Dubai Police has expanded its mobile cannon locations, adding three more spots this year, bringing the total to 17 sites. These roaming cannons will be stationed at different locations for two days each:

  • Meydan Hotel
  • Satwa Mosque
  • Al Marmoom
  • Zabeel Park
  • Al Khawaneej Majlis
  • Festival City
  • Al Wasl Park 1
  • Madinat Jumeirah
