Dubai’s airport operations continue to set global benchmarks for efficiency and coordination, according to Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai, following an inspection tour on Thursday.
Lt Gen Al Marri said he was impressed by the high level of professionalism and preparedness demonstrated across airport operations, highlighting the smooth arrival process experienced by visitors entering the UAE.
Speaking after the inspection, Al Marri noted that close coordination among various entities ensures travellers are welcomed efficiently, even during peak travel periods. He emphasized that maintaining such standards is essential to reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading international travel hub.
“During my inspection tour, I witnessed first-hand the commitment and efficiency of teams working across airport operations,” he said, expressing appreciation for the collective efforts that contribute to a hassle-free experience for passengers.
The GDRFA director commended the role of Dubai Airports and acknowledged the support of key partners, including Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, the General Department of Airport Security, passport control officers, national and official airlines, as well as airport taxi drivers and frontline operational staff.
According to Al Marri, the collaboration among these entities plays a vital role in delivering a seamless entry experience for millions of visitors each year. He added that such coordinated efforts reflect the UAE’s continued commitment to excellence in border services, security, and hospitality.
The inspection comes as Dubai continues to witness strong passenger volumes, with authorities maintaining a focus on operational readiness, service quality, and traveller satisfaction to support the city’s growing role in global aviation.
