Emirates Group has listed 136 new job openings across 22 countries, including India, as part of its massive global hiring campaign announced earlier this week. The Dubai-based airline aims to recruit over 17,300 professionals this year across 350 roles, reaffirming its aggressive growth trajectory and expanding international footprint.
Of the 136 vacancies listed on Emirates’ careers portal as of July 25, 94 are based in the UAE. The job opportunities span several functions including airline and airport operations, cabin crew, engineering, commercial, customer services, information technology, corporate functions, and pilot positions.
Three active roles are currently open in India. These include a junior office clerk in Delhi, an airport services officer in Kolkata, and a customer sales and service agent at the Mumbai contact centre. The Kolkata position closes on July 28, while the Delhi and Mumbai applications remain open until August 5 and September 30, respectively.
The airline's hiring initiative is not limited to online listings. Emirates Group will also organize over 2,100 open days and recruitment events across 150 global cities throughout the year. These events will target talent pools including pilots, engineers, IT specialists, and cabin crew. Several events will be held in Dubai, with a specific focus on engaging Emirati students and recent graduates.
Since 2022, Emirates has added more than 41,000 professionals to its workforce, 27,000 of whom joined operational departments. The group’s total staff count now exceeds 121,000.
“We’re seeking world-class talent to fuel our bold ambition, redefine the future of aviation, and continue our commitment and culture of innovation and excellence,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group. “This is an opportunity for skilled and talented professionals to play a stellar role in our future, our strategy, and our growth story.”
The hiring push comes at a time when Emirates is actively expanding its global network. In July alone, the airline introduced multiple new services and aircraft upgrades. These include the launch of Airbus A350 operations to Dammam, its first Saudi destination for the aircraft, and the rollout of premium economy services to Kolkata, following previous launches in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. The A350 is also now in operation on the Dubai-Muscat route.
In a broader expansion, Emirates resumed services to Damascus, Syria, for the first time since 2012. The airline initially launched operations to the Syrian capital in 1988 but suspended them due to conflict. The new service operates three times weekly.
Further route expansions are scheduled through the end of the year. In September, Emirates will deploy a Boeing 777 to Madrid. October will see the addition of a third daily flight to Dublin, followed by a third daily service to Mauritius in December.
The airline also launched a new daily service to Shenzhen earlier this month, marking its fourth gateway into mainland China.
With continued global demand for travel and a strong recovery in aviation, Emirates’ hiring campaign reflects both its operational needs and its long-term commitment to investing in people across markets.
