Dubai Launches New Golden Visa Scheme for Yacht Owners

In a move to attract high-net-worth individuals, Dubai has launched a new initiative granting long-term residency through the Golden Visa for yacht owners. The announcement was made by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) on Monday, allowing yacht owners to secure a 10-year residency visa.

This new initiative follows a similar program in Abu Dhabi, where the Golden Visa for superyacht owners was introduced last year. The timing of Dubai's announcement aligns with the upcoming Dubai International Boat Show, which will run from February 19 to 23, 2025.

The Golden Visa offers significant benefits, such as the ability to remain outside the UAE for extended periods (over six months) and an automatic 10-year renewal period. This makes the UAE an even more attractive destination for investors and yacht owners looking for a stable, long-term residency option.
