Dubai, UAE - Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has announced the creation of a Unified Registry of the Population of the Emirate of Dubai. This initiative aims to centralize population data in a comprehensive, real-time database managed by the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation.
The new registry will serve as the official and sole source of population data for the emirate. It is designed to aid in the preparation of government plans, strategies, and policies, enhancing government services and programs while enabling accurate future population forecasting. This will support Dubai’s economic and social policy-making by providing a reliable data foundation.
The Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment will manage the registry, coordinating with various government entities to gather and update data. The organization will ensure the security of the data in collaboration with the Dubai Cyber Security Center.
This move is part of Dubai's broader digital transformation strategy, aiming to streamline data management and improve public services through innovative, data-driven approaches.
